Pinksofa Lesbian dating and social website. NZ and international. Free for first month and then reduced to limited profile status unless membership is paid. Popular with Wellington lesbos and has a chat feature and forums.

AfterEllen. Lesbian and bisexual women in entertainment and the media. Magazine style website includes video and podcasts as well as articles about media featuring lesbian storylines etc. Also has lots of stories about prominent successful gay women.

AutoStraddle. “News, politics, entertainment and girl-on-girl culture”. A young, hip, sexy website with lots of gender diversity and awesome dykes. Articles and features include witty and thoughtful analysis of complex issues from lesbian safe sex to gay and lesbian politics to transguys. USA focus.

Wellington Lesbian. Great local website, updates extremely regularly. Has good info about events and groups for lesbians in the greater Wellington area. Also features an extensive list of links to other great lesbian sites. Not the prettiest page, but information is RELIABLE.

Lesbain.net Wellington’s lesbian library. Library has books, magazines, tapes, CDs, DVDs, all available for lending to dykes in the Wellington area. Has searchable online catalogue, and some full-text works available though their site.

Armstrong & Arthur Charitable Trust for Lesbians. This trust financially supports a number of lesbian community activities in the Wellington region.

Safe sex for lesbians article. Has a good amount of humour as well as sensible realistic information for the sex-savvy woman.

Blog by a lesbian ‘dad’. Award winning US website. Discusses a lot of the issues around lesbian parenting and a few political musings.

Sugarbutch. NSFW. Blog of a kinky queer butch lesbian top. Much discussion of lesbian sex: including sex toys, erotic writing, butch/femme, kink, roleplays and fetishism, gender play, feminism, etc.
